Job Fair

A job fair is a place where you can meet representatives of companies that want new workers.  Many colleges have job fairs.  Next Thursday, there were be a job fair run by Computer CORE at Fairlington Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, VA.  It will be from 10AM to1PM at 3846 King Street in Alexandria, VA.  There will be more than 9 companies hiring.  Bring many resumes.  Practice speaking.

Around the World Embassy Tour
Time: 10am to 4pm
More than 50 embassies representing six continents
open their doors to DC visitors and residents.
Participants can travel the world as they experience
the food, art, dance, fashion, and music of different
countries. Last year visitors were treated to karate
demonstrations, dance performances, sari wrapping
lessons, and henna demonstrations, Participating
embassies for 2014:  African Union, League of Arab
States, Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahamas,
Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belize, Bolivia, Botswana, Brazil,
Colombia, Republic of Congo, Costa Rica, Dominica,
Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Fiji, Gabon,
Ghana, Guatemala, Guinea, Indonesia, Iraq, Japan,
Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyz Republic, Malaysia,
Mexico, Federated States of Micronesia, Mozambique,
Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Saudi Arabia,
Serbia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, St. Kitts and Nevis,
Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Uganda,
Ukraine, Venezuela, and Zambia.

Admission is free and reservations are not required.
