This video has more information than the handout from class...
Do you think that being thankful and appreciating family promotes peace?
The first Thanksgiving was similar to English Harvest Festivals. Do you have the same or similar holidays in your countries? Please tell me about them...

August 15 by lunar calender is called "Chusok", one of the largest holidays in Korea.
Many koreans go their hometown on Chusok. For that reason the traffic is terrible.
When we arrive at hometome meet relatives. And have a meal together and go to bed with family for three days.
On Chusok we eat a rice cake called "Songpyeon".
We have a memorial service for our ancestors on Chusok.
Our family is thankful for God because we are christians.
In that sense, "Chusok" is similar to Thanksgiving.
This year I have a Thanksgiving day instead of Chusok because I am living in here.
Wow! The original harvest festivals/thanksgivings were three days long too. I hope you had a great first thanksgiving! Excellent writing!
