Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Many people remember Martin Luther King Jr. today.  Some people volunteer to do community service.

Volunteerfairfax Volunteer Opportunities--you need to register, but volunteering for respite care or meals on wheels can give you great English practice 

(Volunteer means work for no pay)

If we have school, we start at 9.

ACE Adult ESOL Classes Start on Time When FCPS Kids are two hours late.  If you have to stay home until your kids leave, just come as soon as you can.

Enjoy your first day of class.  I'm sad I won't be there.  My dad had a severe stroke, and may be dying.  I'm taking this session off to be with my parents during a really tough time.

The morning class is going to go to the Newseum on Wednesday!  Come on time and wear your most comfortable shoes!   It won't cost you $$$$.

The other group practiced using "there +be" with singular, plural, and non-count nouns.
